One Driver, One Mic is a documentary feature film that chronicles how a group of immigrant cab drivers in Austin, Texas created a driver owned taxi cooperative to compete with Uber, Lyft and the taxi industry. The film follows explores the struggles that immigrant workers face in being heard by local government, cultivating collective voice amongst each other and competing with venture-backed technology companies such as Uber.

One Driver, One Mic is an official selection at the 20th annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, 13th annual Chagrin Documentary Film Festival and the Immigration Film Fest in DC and the Workers Unite Film Festival.

The film was made possible by research grants from the University of Texas, a $10,000 grant from the University of Maryland’s Provost and Vice President of Research, and the Docs in Progress Fellowship program.
